Biological Arts Group Donates $25,000 to The Banfield Charitable Trust (September 21, 2004)
PORTLAND, Ore. ~ Biological Arts Group (BAG) recently donated $25,000 to the Banfield Charitable Trust, a non-profit foundation that provides funding to help families afford quality Pet healthcare, and supports research and scholarship programs at veterinary schools.
BAG is a group of medical professionals, sculptors and graphic artists who produce creative visual aids for use in human and animal medicine. "It gives me goosebumps to be able to support the Charitable Trust at this level," said Barry Goldberg, DVM, owner and founder of BAG. "The Trust is one of the most innovative charities, because it goes to the community to help those who can't afford high quality healthcare for Pets. There's not much else out there to help with that need."
The Banfield Charitable Trust will use the funds to help make life better for Pets and their families, and help shape the future of veterinary medicine. "Over the past year, we have demonstrated our commitment to veterinary medicine by awarding grants for research and childhood education," said Sandy Campbell, Chairman of the Board for the Trust. "We are grateful for the Biological Arts Group's generous donation, which will help us give back to the communities we serve by expanding our community grants program, and providing preventive healthcare for Pets in need."
